As I stare out this window
Out at the chaos outside
The rain, thunder and lightning
I remember when I was
The one looking in…
In on what I was missing
But now have long forgotten
It’s been two years and
so much has changed
I became the girl
Not the dog outside
My first poem I ever tried.
The one I will never forget…
But the one person
I’ll never forgive.
The more I feel
The less I say
The more I love
The less I hate
The days go by
With little haste
The days go by
With little pace
With my feet moving on
With my head down low
With my heart shrunk in
With my back stabbed so
I lay here thinking
With the sun still setting
Of all nature can bring
The sun is the mighty god
I leap in tall grass
I weep at the towering tree
I stand above the insects below
But look up to the brave ant
Still running fast
Still looking ahead
Still pushing beyond
Still suffering through
The maze can confuse
The maze can befuddle
But the maze can be defeated
By those who walk forward
We can see the world
We are blind
We can hear the sound
We are deaf
Justice is a lie
Another government cover
for those who cheat the system
And may never learn the truth
The truth is nothing
Because nothing is true
Only everything can happen
Because everything is permitted.
You wait for a dream
You get nothing from your mind
You think about your love
You dream sweet dreams
